I first met David in 1992 when I wrote him a letter to ask if he would sell me a print he had made of Sid Grossman in 1946.

For more than 20 years we carried on a correspondence talking about photographs and photography.

In October 2012 David drove from his home in Bethlehem CT. to my house in Houston and we loaded my car and rode to the 24th Al Weber 'Rendezvous' in King City CA.  Three weeks on the road with David was an experience I'll remember for a long time.

I've spent time with David over a number of years and learned a great deal about what he thought about photography.  I hope to report on some of what I learned and share it though this site. #DavidVestal #Photography
